Mirror Mirror

The following is a piece of poetry covering very similar themes to those covered in a full-length article I have written on this site. If you are interested in reading a full-length piece on the topic, click here.

Mirror mirror on the wall,
Scattering reflections evermore,
Infinite images, stretching out into the blue,
Reflections of reflections, which is true?

Which is the fairest of them all?
Which captures your likeness most beautiful?
An endless hunt through infinite images,
The true self lost in mirrored fragments.

The answer is but so simple,
Not to be found in reflections or images,
No mirror can capture all,
It lies in front of the hall of mirrors,
Exactly where you stand.
